The department of Arabic was established in the year 1979. A
number of eminent professors and language experts have so far
rendered their valuable services to the department including
Dr. QaziAhmadullah- the distinguished Professor, research
scholar, author and administrator who played a key role in
promoting the subject and consolidating the emerging fabric of
the department.From its very inception, the department has
been committed toacademic excellence characterized by its
applied, practical and comprehensive teaching methodology
with a view to develop all the four basic language skillsin
the students including reading, writing, listening and
provide quality education of Arabic Language and literature
and produce competent and professional graduates who could
contribute to our society both by their deeds and words.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVE
To familiarize the students with Arabic
Language and enrich their reading, writing and communicative

is indeed a challenge and uphill task which besides knowledge,
skill &expertise demandsa homogenous and work oriented-
culture all at once. Although, the department has show
excellent progress in terms of enrollment and pass percentage,
however the dream of good to better and better to best is
still to be fulfilled.
The department has been actively engaged in
providing guidance and counseling to the students who desire
to go for higher educationand research in the future. It has
been organizing complimentaryorientation classes for those
students who seek to enhance their proficiency in the subject.
The department has been collaborating with the college seminar
committee to organize various student centric-activitiesin the
college.Moreover, it has also been contributing to the college
magazine “Heemal”. A separate Arabic section has been
incorporated in the magazine which indeed is a medium which
provides a fillip to the creativity of budding writers of the
subject and a mirror reflecting our progress to some extent.
